The Rice Cereal Expirement!

Tonight we decided to give rice cereal a shot..... We were both a bit surprised that Mason, our little pork chop, wasn't quite as interested as we assumed he would be! Guess we will be holding off on any more food experiments for awhile!

Cakes!

Our friend, the amazingly talented Beth Twist, makes fantastic cakes, among other things. On the left, you will see our wedding cake, which consisted of Snickerdoodle and Devil's Food Cake, accompanied by Cream Freakin' Cheese frosting. I would like to point out that my mother in law did the flower arrangement.

On the right, you will see a cute little cake. This is one of Beth's snickerdoodle cakes (my current favorite), she made for us on the 4th of July. Now, keep in mind that Beth has 2 small children... how, you might ask, does she manage to make these beautiful cakes??? It is my belief that she never sleeps.... she is one of the craftiest, productive people that I know!

Cat sweater, anyone?

For those of you that own cats, this blog will not surprise you. Recently, we found our kitty brush, and decided to give Sumi a long overdue brush... much to our horror......... we came up with this..... thing......

Mike put a bottle cap in the middle of it, to show its size. Sumi absolutely loved being brushed, so we kept brushing until we got tired of it...

Taking orders for cat sweaters now.....

Aaaahhh, summer!

Now that Michael is about done with grad school, we are finally able to enjoy some summer activities like pool time and Brewfest 2008!

Weighing in at 15.10 lb and 26.25", he is on his way to being a big boy! He is in the 90th percentile for his heighth and 75th for weight!

As you can see, he can now grab the bear, and try to stuff it into his mouth, along with anything else that comes his way!

We are having a great summer so far.. Michael is done with school in 2 weeks, and we will be celebrating our 2 year wedding anniversary on the same day! I promise to post a bit more regularly!

Time to reflect....

Just a reminder of how quick they grow... makes me kind of sad, but I know that we have tons of fun ahead with the little guy!

Fathers Day!

Mike's 1st Fathers Day was great. We went out to breakfast, walked around in the Pearl, and had dinner with Mike's Dad and Stepmom. As Mason's card to his Papa read, he may not be the 1st grandchild, but he is the favorite! ha! Mason is also shown sporting his "country club" look, courtesy of his Aunt Debbie!
